I took some time to research into the wind production on buildings, being a big fan of renewable electricity since childhood I was very excited about the prospect of making your own electricity where its needed the most (at your home). To cut the long story short, it turns out (e.g. Southwark Council) that these mini turbines consume more than they produce on average and even if the winds are relatively strong. The dreams cut short, or is that good news? Maybe that just means an untouched region of opportunity, a blue ocean without competitions? Or maybe the majority is right, it is just a dream…

If the wind generation on buildings is something that will not work, maybe ‘little’ improvements, like getting trains to pick up passengers without stopping:

When you get the right team, why not win some cash or find some funding through our annual business plan competition Pitch it! and for those who need encouragement, ‘apprentice style competition’ EPIC might be the best way to get going with other students from all over the world.

We are the society for passionate people who want to look at their life from a slightly different perspective and maybe take the reigns into their own hands. You don’t have to be running a business, or be certain you want to do that in the future, but all the members want to make a difference. LSE Entrepreneurs is for ‘actors’, those who act upon their desires. If you want it, there is no reason why you should not reach out for it.

So if being the Forbes 500 is what you dream of then don’t wait for it to happen, get out and become an actor of your own play!
